Since graduating in 2011 from the University of Manchester with a BA (hons) in Drama, Isabella has been working as a drama educator in various schools and communities in Hong Kong. In 2012, she became a resident Drama EduActor and Drama Educator at the Theatre Noir Foundation in Hong Kong.
Isabella’s work as a drama educator covers many disciplines, and ranges from teaching, directing, singing coaching and choreographing to scriptwriting and performing bilingual Theatre-In-Education (TIE) productions.
Indeed, her work as a drama educator has influenced the way she approaches performance as a theatre practitioner: the teacher/performer must engage, educate, and empathise with their student/audience in order to create an interactive space conducive to creativity and learning.
In teaching drama as a creative tool, Isabella endeavours to teach her students her students as much about themselves as about the world around them. She enjoys sharing her passion while watching her students grow and develop in a lively atmosphere infused with their own thoughts and ideas.
